Embrace Hostility Paraphernalia

So, people have been stopping me on the street when they see me walking about downtown Columbia in my Embrace Hostility in Howard County t-shirt. They ask me where I got it, and they all seem disappointed when I tell them that I had it made. Well, now, I'm making the t-shirt available on Zazzle from the Embrace Hostility Store link on the sidebar. There are also bumper stickers and trucker hats as well. (Hey, why not, it's free to print.) If you'd like to get in on the Embrace Hostility movement, head over to the store and get your gear. And do it in a hostile fashion.

This afternoon, it took me an hour to drive from North Laurel to Columbia to pick up my kid from after summer camp care (for us "poor"-rich people who have to pay and arm and a leg for child care just to make barely enough to pay the mortgage and Howard County's taxes - which, by the way, are based on an assessment of about 30% more than the current market value of our homes). Anyway, I was about a minute away from paying the $20 late fee (that's only for the first 15 minutes late - $20 for every 15 minutes late there-after). I had been cut off at least twice on my journey and flipped off by some Sigmond Freud looking freak driving a hybrid with a bumper sticker "Choose Civility in Howard County". On the way to my townhome, (where, by the way, there is a parking lot full of "Choose Civility" bumper stickers, but ironically, everyone looks down to ensure that they don't have to say "hello", and they leap at a chance to report any minor violation - example of real HOA letter received "It has come to our attention that you have been parking in the non-reserved spot before you park in your reserved spot.")...I get behind a blue, convertible PT Cruiser with another one of those damn "Choose Civility" bumper stickers. Hey....wait a minute...that is not what it says! It said "Embrace Hostility in Howard County." It was all I could do to keep from following this person home to ask him where he got his bumper sticker. I was so giddy! Finally!!! Someone with a little bit of personality and individuality to step up and fight back that hypocritical "Choose Civiity" bullshit!! I was psyched when I googled this and I found that I was actually able to buy the bumper sticker and t-shirt online. Oh yes...my car will be sporting one soon. :) THANK YOU to whoever had the balls to put this out there for those of us, and I know that there are so very many more than are willing to admit it, who are so fed up with the FAKE people of Columbia who CLAIM that they "Choose Civility". Yes, I know what some of you Columbia do-gooders may be thinking, "then, why don't you leave if you don't like Columbia?" My answer to that is - I certainly will...as soon as my house regains the $80,000 loss in value so that I can offload this pile of over-priced bricks!
